Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) Forest Inventory Analysis Pilot (CRP Forest Inventory Analysis Pilot) is a competitive grant opportunity with funding authorized under Section 743 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2018 (P.L.

115-141), and is a one-time only grant for non-profit organizations

(NGOs) (each referred to as an “applicant”).

A Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) was published in the Federal Register, on July 19, 2018 (83 FR 34098-34100), announcing that up to an aggregate of $1 million is available for this one-time grant opportunities in fiscal year (FY) 2018 among all successful applicants.

The primary objective of the CRP Forest Inventory Analysis Pilot is to increase the availability of data and information on CRP bottomland hardwoods acreage, by conducting a forest inventory analysis and forest management and economic outcomes modeling, for certain currently enrolled CRP land.

The data and information will be a resource for CRP bottomland hardwood practices, including CP03, CP03A, CP11, CP22, CP31, and CP4 0.

Applicants must use advanced, cost-effective technology.

These activities may not be duplicative of existing programs or program activities.
