Tuberculosis Control Project

The overall goal of this project is to contribute to the Russian FederationÂ’s (RF) efforts to reduce tuberculosis (TB)-related mortality, morbidity and transmission of infection and prevent the development of drug resistance (DR).

In particular, the project will be focused on establishing

of outreach TB services which help to improve provision of directly observed therapy (DOT) and strengthen patient adherence to treatment.

In order to make the developed service models sustainable, the project will help local governments use available TB resources more effectively and strategically.
