Countering Terrorist Financing in Pakistan

CT seeks proposals to strengthen Pakistan's capacity to successfully implement its AML/CTF regime and adequately address the threat of terrorist financing.

Project proposals should address one or all of the following areas:
1.

Strengthen efforts to implement Pakistan's

credit: Razoo


AML/CTF regulations, including financial sanctions, financial sector supervision, and the detection and prevention of illicit transfers of cash; 2.

Build the capacity of justice sector actors to prosecute terrorist financing cases; 3.

Develop the capacity of the Government of Pakistan to articulate to the public its actions to counter the financing of terrorists.

Proposed funding for this initiative supports activities that improve the ability of the Government of Pakistan (GOP) to counter the financing of terrorism.

To address these objectives successfully, project proposals should incorporate training and mentorship plans and should include an explanation of how projects will measure training outcomes and impact.

Proposals should include plans to increase coordination among federal and provincial authorities in Pakistan.

Through this NOFO, CT seeks applications for a comprehensive approach to countering the flow of terrorism financing in Pakistan consisting of three project areas.

The proposed recipient is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon the fact that this opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) program.

CESUs are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education.

The potential recipient is a member of the Pacific Northwest CESU program.
