Regional Coastal Biodiversity Project

The Project’s purpose is to address threats to and conserve biodiversity in targeted coastal-marine areas and associated upland ecosystems throughout Central America, to decrease degradation of forest and mangrove landscapes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase resilience to climate

change, and to enhance climate-smart economic opportunities and sustainable use of natural resources (“biocommerce” ).
