Mission’s Public Affairs Small Grants Program The Public Affairs Section of the U.

S.

Mission to Argentina is pleased to announce funding availability through the Mission’s Public Affairs Small Grants Program.

This grants program supports projects proposed by Argentine

credit:


individuals and educational and cultural non-profit institutions that seek to strengthen the bilateral ties between the United States and Argentina.

Grants range from $10,000 to $100,000 U.

S.

dollars.

The Public Affairs Section in Buenos Aires reserves the right to award less or more than the funds requested as it deems to be in the best interest of the U.

S.

Embassy Buenos Aires Public Affairs Section will accept proposals and review them in two cycles through the year:
The closeout dates for each cycle are as follows:
1) December 31, 2020 at 5:00 PM local Argentine time.

2) May 31, 2021 at 5:00 PM local Argentine time.

Priority Funding Areas:
The Grants Program seeks to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the United States and Argentina by awarding grants to Argentine non-profit organizations and individuals for projects that address the following priority areas:
Promote U.

S.

– Argentine Shared Values · Projects that promote U.

S.

culture, including music, history, sports, education, or the learning/teaching of English.

· Activities, workshops, and speaker programs that strengthen U.S.-Argentine ties and increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and Argentina.

· Projects that support educational exchange, the internationalization of higher education, and U.

S.

– Argentine partnership in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) among Argentine youth.

Priority will be given to projects that encourage social development and help reduce inequality, especially among marginalized populations Strengthen Prosperity · Projects that foster economic growth, an improved business climate, entrepreneurship, innovation, corporate social responsibility, and the protection of Intellectual Property Rights.

Reinforce Democracy, Freedom and Transparency · Programs that promote good governance, open data, and more transparent democratic institutions.

· Projects that support human rights, racial/ethnic equality, gender equality, women’s empowerment, diversity and social inclusion as part of a strong civil society.

· Programs related to freedom of the press that improve the quality of investigative journalism and transparency, and that help counter disinformation.

Grants cannot be used to fund religious activities, partisan political activities, fundraising campaigns; commercial projects or for-profit ventures, individual academic research projects, construction projects, or projects whose primary objective is an organization’s institutional development or an individual’s personal enrichment or career development.
