Stream Restoration, NSF Indian Head, Indian Head, MD

NSFIH is proposing to design and implement wetland creation measures at an area referred to as “Wetland Creation Area 1” at Stump Neck Annex.

These measures could include installing erosion control measures, re-grading and replanting native and non-invasive species to restore the

credit:


natural shallow water habitat and slow the flow of water through the stream.

The project includes minimal vegetation removal and potential tree girdling to open the canopy.
