Rural Policy Analysis Program

This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Rural Policy Analysis Program.

The purpose of this program is to support research and analysis of key policy issues affecting rural communities that will inform policy makers.

This program is national in scope

and focuses on cross-cutting rural health and human services issues, identifying historical and emerging trends and challenges faced by rural communities.

Analyses funded under this cooperative agreement should focus on:
• Providing timely analysis and synthesis of policies and regulations impacting rural health systems and communities in the form of policy briefs or reports, and webinars and oral presentations • Describing the historical context and current implications of rural policy issues • Facilitating public dialogue around rural policy issues • Identifying opportunities for integrating health and human services in policies impacting rural communities • Identifying considerations for rural stakeholders and policy makers These activities should inform rural decision makers and policy leaders, including the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services (NACRHHS) and organizations focused on improving health and human services in rural communities such as State Offices of Rural Health (SORHs) and State Rural Health Associations (SRHAs).
