Any information contained in this notice is subject to change.If released, the intent of this FOA is to facilitate the development of novel and/or improved tools and methods to detect and characterize faults during the site characterization phase of potential storage sites, assess the likelihood of induced seismicity due to large-scale CO2 injection, and identify, locate, and quantify unpredicted CO2/native fluid migration through the main caprock layer(s) overlying an injection reservoir.There are two anticipated Areas of Interest (AOI):AOI 1 - Fault Detection, Characterization, and Hazard Assessment AOI 2 - Monitoring for CO2 and Native Fluid Migration Through and Above the Main Caprock Layers

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligible applicants include entities eligible for funding under Parts A - D of Title XXVI of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, including public and nonprofit private entities; state and local governments; academic institutions; local health departments; nonprofit hospitals and outpatient clinics; and community health centers receiving support under Section 330 of the PHS Act.

Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply.
