Department of Energy, hereby announces its interest in receiving applications for Research and Development (R&D) efforts directed at challenges to support the development of the new detector technologies needed to perform

future high energy physics experiments at present, upgraded or planned colliders at the Energy Frontier.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
All types of domestic entities are eligible to apply as the lead institution, except other Federal agencies, Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) Contractors, and nonprofit organizations described in section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 that engaged in lobbying activities after December 31, 1995.

Applications should be from investigators who are currently involved in experimental high energy physics, and should be submitted through a U. S. academic institution.

The purpose of this program is to support the development of the new detector technologies needed to perform future high energy physics experiments.
