Schneiderman's Office Investigates State Grant Awarded to New York 4 Life

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman investigates a $33,000 state grant awarded to a nonprofit organization, New York 4 Life, tied to City Councilman Ruben Wills.

The state grant was supposed to be used to fund a breakfast for single mothers, luncheon for single fathers, a campaign to fight childhood obesity, and a program to adopt a commercial strip. The organization was asked to provide documentation, but they have failed to pass one. They are now told to either provide a liquidation report of the money or return the state grant instead.
